im so glad ppl are finally talking abt the problems in jojo bc whenever i talk abt how shit jojo is, even as a jojo fan, i feel like im screaming into the void. no one wants 2 acknowledge it. like there are literally scenes in part 2 i cant watch bc theyre too hard to watch for me as a jew. theres a redemption arc for a nazi general. underagd girls (anne in 3, trish in 5, lucy in 7, daiya in 8) are sexualized almost as often as in bnha. the black characters are treated like garbage. the homophobia in parts 5 and 7 and the transmisogyny in parts 2 and 8. THERES A REDEMPTION ARC FOR A WW2 NAZI GENERAL… ppl like to act like theyre critical of the media they consume but i never see other jojo fans talking abt this shit (and when i do its always poc and jews, i never see white goyim acknowledging this stuff) and i always see ppl praising araki despite him pulling this shit over and over and over.
