nonblacks don’t really care about black people. they always speak about how we have to protect black people but it’s only to look good. they’ll in the same breathe steal out culture, they’ll see as us dirty and as thieves. They’ll potray us as aggressive and not as attractive as nonblacks. They’ll refer to our bigger lips as weird and gross, our “nappy” hair as unkept. They’ll suggest darker skinned black people to bleach their skins but enough is enough.

They’ll throw antiblackness into our faces, violence and murder every chance they get to seem woke, but it scares us, it scares me.

if you truly want to be a black ally, why not…accept as human? Why not see that we can be attractive, we can be smart, we don’t always wanna see violence. We want to see our people success, why not share those posts? Why not realize aave is not just this quirky thing and part of black culture.

we’re human, please please, treat us like that. we get scared too, we feel sad and unwanted too, please. look deep into your heart and accept that.
