to be fair, there IS something to be said about how no one cares about how entire civilizations and pieces of artwork have been stolen and destroyed due to colonialization, and yet as soon as notre dame burns everyone mourns
no one is saying ur not allowed to be upset. im incredibly upset about this happening because art history is such a huge interest of mine, but it’s kind of transparent when people only care about art made by white ppl getting destroyed
